More choices for better transportation

Ezra Klein – Can’t I just be pro-transportation?

This column is just a dandy and articulates a reasonable response to George Will’s somewhat strained attack on HSR.

By Ezra Klein

It took me a few days to put my finger on what I found so strange about my colleague George Will’s take on trains. In Will’s view, support for high-speed rail is a “disorder [that] illuminates the progressive mind.”

    It’s a fact of life.

Conservatives have always been against Amtrak and other Rail Transportation and always be against Rail Transportation.

However, that does not mean that all Republican are against anymore that all Dem. are for Amtrak.

Therefore, both sides likely says that spending Billions of Dollars makes no sense.

However, it will not get any less expensive to keep waiting.

So, why is Airports more important, when Amtrak stops at small towns not sure by Airports.

For Example. New York to Philly.
Obviously, it’s way faster by Amtrak vs by Air. and it’s Downtown to Downtown. not from the Burbs to the Burbs.

Downtown Philly has a free shuttle from Penns landing to 30 St. via 17th and Market. and that is the beauty of Philly.

Downtown and not destroying land marks crazy. such as 30th Street Amtrak Station. what charm. vs at Ugly Airports. and no Security Hassle.
Obviously, Amtrak Marshall from time to time.
